- I was Beverly Shaw when I taught second grade at Oakwood for one year (1960-1961). I felt very fortunate to be teaching in a beautiful new school. I loved teaching in a classroom with a brick wall, an entire wall of windows with orange and turquoise drapes and a green chalkboard which were all very advanced at the time.
The playground had very little landscaping and was a muddy mess in the spring. I still have family and friends in the Plymouth area and will be in town in September. Wish I could be there for the reunion in November. Have fun!
